Anu works with the Litigation team. Before joining the firm in 2017, she worked in an independent chamber, where she worked on India’s first litigation on copyright infringement of educational material. Anu's experience includes litigation matters related to trademark, design and copyright infringement, non-IP related civil litigation matters, service matters, trademark prosecution, and advisory matters. She is a member of the team working on the first litigation in India on Standard Essential Patents in the telecom industry.
Bharat works with the Dispute Resolution division. He has about a decade of experience in handling a plethora of litigations relating to intellectual property, civil, arbitration and consumer law, data theft, medical negligence, and animal welfare. He regularly represents foreign and domestic clients in disputes before the High Court, Supreme Court, et al. Bharat is accredited with drafting, filing and arguing the first petition involving ‘The Right to Safe Working Environment’, for an Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel.
Eshani is part of the IP prosecution practice at the firm. Eshani’s practice primarily focuses on trademark and brand protection law. She advises a wide range of local and international clients in relation to all aspects of brand protection including IP due diligence, trademark clearance searches, registrability issues, filing and prosecution of trademark applications, assignments, oppositions, revocation and invalidity actions, domain name disputes and complete portfolio management. She also counsels clients regarding the protection of copyright and geographical indications.
Gitanjali works with the Litigation team. She graduated with a B.A.LLB (Hons) degree from the School of Law, Christ University in 2016. She has a keen interest in the overlap of technology and intellectual property. She has worked on landmark cases in trademark, intermediary liability and broadcasting laws. Gitanjali is also part of the core Litigation team dealing with cases on patent infringement.
Nandita advises clients on IP, publishing, eCommerce, software, media, and Internet laws in relation to policy issues, dispute resolution, and litigation strategy. Nandita was earlier associated with the Office of the Additional Solicitor General of India, independently, as counsel for a company and since 2009, with the firm. She has been extensively published with her first book on business communication having come out in 2001. She also wrote a book on women's legal rights and social status. Nandita is an avid blogger as well with her blogs on copyright law matters being widely read and cited.
Poonam graduated in Pharmacy in 2009 and subsequently obtained her post-graduation in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Poonam has completed the Women Scientist scholarship program sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology. She has several years of experience in the patent industry and her practice areas include drafting and prosecuting patent applications in India and various other countries, conducting prior art searches and patentability/invalidation/infringement assessments in her domain of expertise. She regularly advises clients on patent rights enforcement in various countries.
Rabi has multi-domain legal practice exposure in a wide range of Legal Affairs including Legal, Regulatory Law, IPR Enforcement issues along with Civil, Criminal & IPR. He is also experienced in Corporate Litigation relating to trial courts and non-litigation compliances matters. Drafting, interpreting and reviewing legal documents along with providing management advisory services by undertaking legal research, legal due diligence are his other areas of expertise.
Shilpa is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice and has 11 years of experience in handling various IP contentious matters involving Trademark & Copyright enforcement in the field of Pharmaceuticals, Media houses, Airlines, Internet intermediaries, publishing house, Service providers, etc. She has been instrumental in securing injunctive reliefs and seizure of infringing goods in various jurisdictions and is involved in extensive IP civil trials. She has been instrumental in advising, strategizing and managing the IP portfolios of national and international clients. Shilpa also handles non-IP litigation in the firm.
Yatinder works with the Litigation team, and extensively handles matters related to general civil litigation, corporate commercial litigation and alternate dispute resolutions across various fields such as Broadcasting, Entertainment, Sports Broadcasting, online piracy, Contracts, matters relating to infringement of Trademarks, Copyright, and Patents, Consumers disputes, Website Blocking, Film Certification, Banking, Defamation etc. He regularly represents foreign and Indian Clients in an array of matters before all levels of Courts, Tribunals and other quasi-judicial bodies.
