On the transactional side, while the Firm may acquire IP for its clients assisting in often complex transactions, the Firm routinely advises on large content library acquisitions, production arrangements, production finance, distribution agreements, complex Indian and multi-jurisdictional licensing, syndication arrangements. The Firm assists its broadcasting and OTT services clients for example with content clearance issues spanning hundreds of films, mapping granted rights, risk analysis across jurisdictions arising from the deployment of content.

In addition, the Firm spans the technology domain effortlessly by routinely advising clients on outsourcing arrangements, software development and licensing including SAS arrangements, compliance, technology procurement, technical services contracts, data management & protection and related intellectual property issues.

The Firm’s experience includes advising customers as well as IT services & product suppliers including developers. This expertise allows the Firm to provide expert assistance based on the team’s holistic understanding of a range of IT and ITES related issues and concerns from both perspectives. On the advisory side, the Firm supports clients with aspects such as libel read opinions, script clearance memos, risk assessment memos on a variety of issues such as personality rights, publicity rights, privacy issues, brand-related challenges, etc.
