The Firm represents major International and Indian print publishing houses in the trade and Education/STM space advising on litigations relating to IP claims, contract disputes, manuscript clearance, anti-piracy as well as policy issues etc.

The firm’s relationship with the print publishing industry spans a decade of being involved with major litigation dealing with ‘fair dealing’/fair use issues, content violation claims. In 2012 and beyond the firm was involved with supporting the industry on controversial ‘parallel rights’ provisions proposed to be incorporated into Indian copyright law. The firm engaged with think tanks appointed by the Government in breaking down laws in other countries, Indian law as well as assisting on analysing Industry data. The Firm also advised Industry groups on stakeholder inputs to the Government in relation to the National IPR Policy framed and published by the Government of India.
